Comic Con Revolution is a safe place for all. This means we expect it to be a safe environment for fans from any ethnicity, creed, religious background, political background, gender, gender identity, sexual identity, sexual orientation, fandom, etc.

Comic Con Revolution has a zero tolerance policy for harassment of any kind. This includes, but is not limited to: physical assault, verbal harassment, sexual harassment, stalking, unwanted physical contact, unwanted advances, or inappropriate photography. Those found in violation will be removed from the event.

If you feel you are the victim of or have witnessed harassment of any kind please report your concerns to Comic Con Revolution staff at the information booth in the lobby of the convention center.

Comic Con Revolution encourages the use of a variety of materials, items and props to complete your creative and incredible cosplay creations but we do have some rules everyone needs to abide by to have a safe and fun experience for everyone attending. Please review the following guidelines and adhere to them when attending Comic Con Revolution in cosplay.

General Rules

  • Comic Con Revolution is a family friendly environment and children are present. Please keep that in mind when attending the event both in and out of costume.
  • Wear your Comic Con Revolution badge at all times.
  • Harassment or hate speech of any kind is not tolerated at Comic Con Revolution. If you are a victim of harassment or witness someone being harrassed please locate a Comic Con Revolution staff, security or local police right away. Comic Con Revolution staff can always be found in room 101 and room 107. Security and police are located throughout the Ontario Convention Center campus.
  • Inappropriate costumes or actions may result in a request from staff (Comic Con Revolution or the Ontario Convention Center) to change aspects of your costume. Failure to comply with these requests may result in revocation of your Comic Con Revolution badge and removal from the Ontario Convention Center. Refunds will not be issued.
  • Posing with attendees for photos is encouraged but please be careful to not block aisles, doorways, exits or exhibitor booths when doing so. Additionally, always ask for permission when taking a picture.
  • If your costume has large, extruding elements or takes up a large amount of space please be aware of your surroundings and other attendees.

Costumes, Costume Props, & Prop Weapons General Evaluation

  • As stated above, ALL costume props and weapons must be inspected before entering the Ontario Convention Center.
    • After your costume props have been reviewed, they will be tagged by security to designate that your props have been checked and approved. Do not remove the tag while at Comic Con Revolution. If the tag comes loose or falls off, immediately return to registration in room 107 to have it reevaluated and tagged. Failure to have a tag on a prop weapon may result in the prop weapon being barred from the event.
    • All costumes, costume props and weapons must conform to state and federal law.
    • As always, final decisions on prop weapons and armor will always be at the discretion of Ontario Convention Center Security and the Ontario Police Department. Their decision is final and overrides Comic Con Revolution stated policies.

Allowed Costume Costumes, Costume Props, & Prop Weapons Include:

  • Acceptable costume materials include Plastic, Thermoplastic (Worbla), Urethane Resin, Cardboard, Foam, Foam Rubber or other lightweight material.
  • Projectile costume props and weapons must be rendered inoperable including prop guns and prop bows.
    • Prop quivers with non-removable arrows or arrows with blunt tips.
  • Prop guns with orange tips except anything resembling a real or replica gun.
  • Lightsabers (including metal hilts), wands, and sonic screwdrivers.
    • Metal lightsaber hilts should be no longer than 16 inches. If you have a plastic, light up blade it is to be off the hilt when generally traversing the Ontario Convention Center campus and may be connected for photos, meetups, contests, etc.
  • Prop swords, knives or any blades must not be made of metal or have any sort of sharp edge to them in any way.
  • Armor and costume parts made of plastic, fiberglass, foam, pvc, resin or like material.
  • Shields made of plastic, fiberglass, foam, pvc, resin or like material.

Prohibited Costume Costumes, Costume Props, & Prop Weapons Include:

  • Prohibited materials include glass, concrete, rock and metal.
  • No real and/or replica firearms of any kind, regardless of how unrealistic it looks, or material it is made of. This includes any weapon resembling a firearm such as Nerf guns, Airsoft guns, Blasters, Toy guns, etc will be let into the Ontario Convention Center.
  • No Real, replica, or simulated explosives, ammunition, chemical weapons of any kind, including but not limited to:
    • Bombs of any kind, bullets, fireworks, grenades, mace/pepper spray, mines, etc.
  • No Metal or sharp edge/blade props of any material, including but not limited to:
    • Axes, claws, gauntlets, gloves, knives, knuckles, staffs, etc.
  • No excessively loud devices such as airhorns, boomboxes, bullhorns, etc.

As a reminder, policies can change or be overridden very quickly due to local situations and events in the local community. As noted above, the Ontario Convention Center Security and the Ontario Police Department will always have final say.

All ticket sales are final, with no refunds or cancellations. ACE & CCR follow all federal, state & local health mandates/guidelines and refunds will not be issued if you choose not to follow these mandates/guidelines. If you have a question please reach out to info@comicconrevolution.com. Tickets are subject to a service Showclix fee and applicable taxes added at checkout. Fees and taxes are are not included in the ticket price and are added at check out.

Comic Con Revolution employs on-staff professional photographers & videographers. By entering and by your presence at Comic Con Revolution, you consent to be photographed, filmed and/or otherwise recorded. Your entry constitutes your consent to such photography, filming and/or recording and to any use, in any and all media throughout the universe in perpetuity, of your appearance, voice and name for any purpose whatsoever in connection with the production presently entitled: Comic Con Revolution.

You understand that all photography, filming and/or recording will be done in reliance on this consent given by you by entering Comic Con Revolution.

If you do not agree to the foregoing, please do not attend Comic Con Revolution.

Comic Con Revolution maintains a strict no-sale policy on AI generated art. Our staff will have sole discretion to have any artwork deemed AI generated removed from the show floor. This policy applies to all types of exhibitor booths and artist alley tables. If any of our CCR team members determine an individual or company is in violation of this policy offenders will be issued one warning and required to remove the item(s). If a second violation occurs the individual or company will be removed from the show floor and may be banned from exhibiting at future CCR events.

As the discussion around AI continues to evolve CCR may update its policy regarding the sale of this kind of product.

For clarity on what CCR considers AI generated art: If an AI program is used to create art that is not owned or licensed by the artist or company offering it for sale.

By procuring a ticket to Comic Con Revolution and entering the Ontario Convention Center and its grounds, you voluntarily assume all risks of exposure to COVID-19 or any other communicable disease or illness, and voluntarily waive all such related claims and potential claims against Atomic Crush Events, Comic Con Revolution, SMG Worldwide, ASM Global, the City of Ontario and their respective members, affiliates, officers, employees, attorneys, successors and assigns and all persons acting by, through, under or in concert with them.
